Updated AFL Finals Prediction 2013

We have previously made a prediction for the AFL finals halfway through this season. Clearly circumstances change and teams rise and fall. Here is our updated AFL Finals Prediction for 2013.

AFL Final Ladder Prediction as at Round 21

One of the main points of interest is the rise of Richmond up the ladder. With a couple of winnable games towards the end of this season, and a Sydney side that will face Geelong and Hawthorn in the finals week, the Tigers should sneak inside the top four. And this should give them a good chance of heading deep into finals. Particularly if they play against the Hawks – who they have beaten convincingly this season.

Fremantle make the top four and would play the Cats in the first week. This game would prove interesting considering how comprehensively the Dockers smashed Geelong in last year’s finals series.

Sydney was the form side of much of this season, but would drop to fifth, making it difficult to win the Premiership. Port Adelaide in the first week would be no push-over either.

Essendon‘s fall from grace continues, and they would likely be knocked out in the first week to the resurgent Collingwood.

If this prediction proves accurate, we can be sure that the finals series will be alive and kicking!
